Stuart Paver Sealing is a paver cleaning, re-sanding and sealing company in Stuart, Florida. We work on homes, condos and small commercial properties across Martin County and into Port St. Lucie, and paver restoration is the center of the business.

Pavers come first

For a lot of exterior companies, sealing is a quick extra at the end of a wash. Here it is the main event. That matters, because sealing is the part of exterior work that goes wrong most often, because it looks simple and isn’t. The difference between a seal that lasts three years and one that turns white in three months is mostly in decisions made before the sealer is opened: how dry the pavers are, what was on them already, how full the joints are, and whether the weather will hold. Working on pavers nearly every day means we make those decisions every day.

Who you’re dealing with

Stuart Paver Sealing is woman-owned and run as a family business. That keeps things simple: the person who walks your driveway at the estimate answers for the finished job, and there is no sales layer between you and the crew. Every sealing job comes with a limited warranty, set out in writing on your quote.

The sealer we put down is a water-based product sold only to professional applicators, not a can from a home center shelf. Most surfaces get two coats; pavers that are badly faded or very porous get a third. Joint sand comes in several colors, so the lines between your pavers can match or set them off. For owners who would rather not think about it again, we also offer maintenance plans that bring us back on a schedule to clean and refresh the seal before the surface starts to look tired.

What Stuart weather does to a paver

Pavers in Martin County deal with conditions most sealer labels were not written for. The sun is strong enough to bleach pigment in a couple of summers. From June to October, afternoon storms drop an inch of rain in an hour and carry joint sand into the gutter. Salt rides in on the breeze from the ocean and the lagoon. Shade from oaks and palms keeps some surfaces wet for days. A sealer that does well in a drier state can fail quickly here, and timing a job around the rain is part of the craft.

How we choose a sealer

We don’t have one product we put on everything. Concrete pavers on a sunny driveway get a different sealer from travertine around a salt pool or shell stone on a shaded patio. We look at the paver type, its age, what is on it now, how much sun and water it gets, and the finish you want. When a coating is already there, we test a hidden corner to find out whether it can be recoated or has to come off, because putting an incompatible product over an old one is the most common cause of a cloudy, peeling finish.

A visit from start to finish

When you get in touch, we call first to set up a time, so nobody arrives unannounced. At the estimate we walk every area, measure it, look at the joints and edges, and test any existing sealer. You get a written price that lists the square footage, the cleaning, the sand, the number of coats and the product. On the work days we protect plants, doors, walls and pool water, clean, let the surface dry, re-sand, and seal. Before we leave, we tell you when the area can take foot traffic and when it can take a car, and we walk it with you.

How a price is worked out

Our prices are per square foot, with a minimum for very small jobs, and the written quote is the price. If lifting a sunken area shows a problem that couldn’t be seen at the estimate, we stop and explain it before doing anything that would change the total. The figures on our cost page show the ranges we work within.

What we won’t do

  • Seal pavers that are still wet from rain or cleaning because the schedule is tight.
  • Coat over a failing sealer and call it a reseal.
  • Seal brand-new pavers that are still pushing out efflorescence.
  • Put a slick, high-gloss product on a pool deck where people walk barefoot.
  • Wash cleaning chemicals into storm drains, the river or your pool.
  • Talk you into stripping when a careful recoat will do.

Who we work for

Most of our customers are homeowners in Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Port Salerno, Hobe Sound and Port St. Lucie who want their driveway, entry or pool deck to look the way it did when it was installed. We also work for condo and homeowner associations that need a common pool deck or walkway sealed with a written scope, and for property managers looking after seasonal homes while the owners are away.

Straight answers

Where do you work? Stuart and all of Martin County, including Hutchinson Island and Hobe Sound, plus Port St. Lucie and Tequesta. Do you do new paver installs? No. We repair and reset existing pavers, but full new installations go to a paver installer. How soon can you come out? Call and ask; estimates are scheduled by area. Do you clean anything besides pavers? Yes, we also soft wash and pressure wash homes, but paver restoration and sealing is most of what we do.
