Short answer: yes, we seal pavers in Port St. Lucie, just north of Stuart over the Martin–St. Lucie county line. The most common job there is a first-time seal on a builder paver driveway a few years old, which usually needs cleaning, a full re-sand and two coats, at around $1.50–$2.75 per sq ft.

Port St. Lucie is the largest city on the Treasure Coast and still one of the fastest growing in Florida. Communities such as Tradition, St. Lucie West, Torino and the newer sections west of I-95 are packed with homes built in the last twenty years, and builders there install paver driveways, walks and lanais as standard. What they usually don’t do is seal them.

Sealing a new or nearly new paver driveway

Fresh concrete pavers release a white, powdery salt called efflorescence as they cure. It washes off and comes back for the first couple of months. Seal too soon and the bloom is trapped under the coating. For brand-new installs, we generally advise waiting about 60 to 90 days, then cleaning off any bloom with a product made for it before sealing. Driveways that are a year or more old are past that stage, but by then the joint sand has often settled and washed low, so a re-sand is usually part of the job.

Builder pavers and HOA standards

Most Port St. Lucie communities have an HOA, and many publish approved driveway colors and finishes. Builder pavers are typically earth-tone blends that look best with a natural or satin sealer, which rarely needs approval. If you want a wet look, ask the association first; we can supply product details for the request.

Sandy lots and washouts

Many Port St. Lucie lots sit on fine, sandy soil with swales close to the driveway. Heavy summer rain washes joint sand toward the swale and can undermine edges where restraints were skimped on. We check the edges on every quote, and loose borders are reset before sealing. Our repair page explains how.

Port St. Lucie pricing

Expect $1.50–$2.75 per sq ft for the full service and $900–$1,650 for a typical two-car driveway. A first-time seal with no old coating to strip is often at the lower end. Full figures are in the cost guide.

Port St. Lucie questions

My pavers were installed by the builder last year. Should they be sealed?

Usually yes, now that efflorescence has had time to work out. Sealing then locks the joint sand and slows fading before it starts.

Do you cover all of Port St. Lucie?

Yes, including Tradition and St. Lucie West. We group estimates by area, so you may be offered a day we’re already nearby.

Will a sealer change my builder-paver color?

A natural sealer barely changes it. A satin or wet-look sealer deepens it noticeably. We can test a small area so you can see it first.
